I know he plans to provide a more comprehensive usage example using Excel. However, I'm just as interested in whether someone gets an example working using VB.NET or C#.

eSignal has an easy-to-use DDE interface to Excel. Google 'esignal dde'. It is as simple as adding functions in Excel cells.

There is also a product called "Bracket Trader" (Google that) that may be of interest. I have not used it, so can't speak from experience. -Pete

It's still in Beta, which you can download free, but RightEdge is an ATS development platform that inferfaces IB. For non-programmers it has a drag-and-drop strategy creation GUI. That is particularly handy for experimenting with the behavior of an indicator. It has graphs and back testing.

I'm in the same game. Commissions can be a key consideration. IB has the best commission rate I am aware of. Besides, I am satisfied with the platform.
