    No dealing desk brokers

Hi, I've been looking to get into trading fx, tried a demo account for about a month with one of the large brokers and did quite well, would like to try a live account with a small stake to start. I'm still a relative newb to forex but I do know that I would feel a lot more comfortable being...

    Nevis traders

Other than one PM looks like noone here is trading or considering this firm or at least willing to share any info., which surprises me a little since they seem to be affiliated with a sponsor of this site, would have hoped for a few more responses. As an alternative to Nevis, I am considering...

    Nevis traders

I'm thinking of joining Nevis trading, there aren't a lot of posts on here except for some vague positive remarks. Does anyone here actually trade with them and willing to share their thoughts and experience in this thread or PM? Would appreciate any feedback, thanks.

    Bright Slashes Rates for 2010.

Can Canadians living in Canada trade with Bright? Don't have the 7, but would do it (need to be sponsored by a US firm I believe).

    Forecasting Cdn. GDP

I'm curious if there would be demand in the job market for an individual that could consistently and accurately (almost exactly) predict the number the gov. releases for quarterly GDP in Canada, and if so what sort of salary would such a position command?

    Transfer Agents

From what I udnerstand TA's are used whether or not there's physical transfer of certs. (which rarely ever happens anymore). One of the main functions of a TA is to record the registered owner of the stock (which is what Im interested in, not the actual owner as Im interested in aggregate...

    Maple Bonds

Ok, I found sources, but I'm wondering, what discount rate is used in pricing the bond, the foreign discount rate (in the case of a US issuer, the US discount rate), or the Cdn discount rate? Since it's a US issuer I'd imagine a US based discount rate....but maybe I'm way off here.

Hi, not sure if this is the best forum to post this, but here's my question. I'm looking for information on the roles, responsibilities, governing regulations, industry structure, etc. on transfer agents, preferably in a Canadian context. I've done some googling and visited some transfer...

Looking for NYSE downloadable stock symbol list

Thanks risktaker. The min. volume I'm looking for is 1.5m, averaged over a period of at least 60 days. Do you have that? I only had a brief chance to check out the site you mentioned but from a glance it looked like it would be able to filter things nicely.

Looking for NYSE downloadable stock symbol list

I didn't mess up the search criteria, that yahoo screener doesn't have an option to change the timeframe for the average volume. Did you actually go in and try it before saying I obviously messed it up? I'll check out the worden though.

Looking for NYSE downloadable stock symbol list

Thanks, that's an interesting tool. I entered in teh criteria as you suggested and it curiously comes back with about ~2500 results, as opposed to the .xls in this thread with ~3600 results. Regardless, the yahoo screener's avg. volume is only averaged over the last 10 trading days, which is...

Looking for NYSE downloadable stock symbol list

Hi, nice list, thanks. Do you have one that includes average volume averaged over a period of at least 2 months? I've been going through each symbol manually looking up the avg volume and recording it in a column but thats going to take forever for 3600 stocks.

Hi, I'm thinking of joining a prop firm and want to make sure the firm is reputable etc. I've read many times on this forum that people should do their due diligence before joining anywhere but I've never read any specifics on what to look for (Ive used the search). So would someone give me...
