I can't really provide any input there - they generally move just about the same percentage with an occasional divergence. I have read speculation that the futures market might induce some noise into the indices themselves, vs a pure cash market - sort of a tail wagging the dog scenario.

Nas comp is a dead contract - not even listed under time+sales on the CME site.

I'm not sure what you mean by "remove liquidity" - do you mean you use limit orders at the current bid or ask price as opposed to a market order? And if there is no longer a bid/ask available at that price then you don't get filled?

Hypostomus, with all the noise on the intraday chart since the end of June, I have had problems finding any intraday channels that made any sense - other than a fairly clean regression channel starting 7/5 which was violated on the open today and is sitting at 1496 right now - what channel...

I see a channel bottom on the daily chart around 1488 - off the 7/5 and 7/10 lows, going down ~13 points a day. Buying 1475 tomorrow might be a nice place to get in front of a profit-taking Friday rally.
