Other stocks/options prop firms besides SMB, T3, etc.

I attached their trading parameters. Seems straightforward.

Other stocks/options prop firms besides SMB, T3, etc.

I did look at them and received an application. I could do with them but they don't provide much capital or leverage for options held overnight. I swing options, that's my bread and butter.

technical analysis quote from Top Trader book

Everything is in the charts, so we should become multi-billionaires. Just read the charts. It's all there and predictable.

technical analysis quote from Top Trader book

Except for FOMC days! When the markets go crazy because two lines crossed or because of super-excitement over a change in Fed policy?

technical analysis quote from Top Trader book

I'm not into price action (candles) alone being sufficient. You aren't saying this but I am leading up to my point. I really think the best TA involves a points system of indicators and signals. I created an 11-pt analysis that I call a diagnostic that I use to guesstimate price action (I trade...

technical analysis quote from Top Trader book

In the book 'Market Wizards: Interviews with Top Traders', the chapter on Bruce Kovner has an interesting passage that reads: I do both TA and fundamental analysis and thought it was interesting to compare TA to a doctor taking a patient's vitals before making any further assessment of their...

    Retail.... 90% lose?

Did you actually read my entire post? I think you missed the point.

    Retail.... 90% lose?

We hear this stat thrown around a lot. I have even heard that 90% of traders lose 90% of their capital within 90 days. That's a cute adage but doesn't really hold water. I think the idea originated in the 70s or maybe the 60s. But I wonder if retail trading failing this badly is still true...

Other stocks/options prop firms besides SMB, T3, etc.

the way they calculate their consistency rule is you must achieve at least 50% of your highest trading day for 8 days in order to complete the challenge. So having a huge day of $6,000 can ruin the whole thing. If you are used to making $500-$1,000 per day, it would be much easier to complete...

I did it twice but their consistency rule is shit and bit me both times. If you have one anomalous day, such as a $6,000 day, their consistency rule wants you to achieve half of that eight more times.

a few years ago I joined their forex program and they were using IBKR, which is probably still true today.

The Uncomfortable Truth: 90% of the traders lose.

90% of traders lose, or... 90% of traders lose 90% of their money within 90 days Seems oversimplified and makes for a great sales pitch or catchphrase. But I wonder if this statistic is old, like from the 70s or 80s. Because nowadays the retail crowd has a lot more resources, training...

passed the SIE exam, now studying for Series 57

Something I noticed after completing the SIE exam was how simple the questions were, as if they were more general and less detailed. Few of them, maybe less than ten, actually got down into dirty details of the subjects. Most question were not so detail oriented. I studied a lot for that exam...

Only Tradefundrr and Maverick allow swing trading of options. Funder Trading is intraday only which is why I have steered clear of them. SMB? You need to be a young 20-something who is still in college in order to be a candidate. They are like an Ivy League program now since they get thousands...

US stocks: When bad new is good news/vice versa

This has been going on for about 18 months or so. News reports come out with bad news so the market rallies and vice versa when the news is good. Basically the markets have been rallying on bad news for so long that I wonder how much longer this can go on? It's going to catch up to us in a very...
