I agree. A hugh difference between Circuit City employees and those of Best Buy. CC people act like they don't care. Not one said "can I help you" while I was in the store.
Wire Tap - (Client 9) "ahhhh....hello, I need to get my Johnson fixed"
(woman) "You've come to the right place Mr. Spitz....err.. make that Mr. Client 9, what are you looking for?"
(Client 9) "ahhhhhh.....she should petite and dark, like Dick Grasso. And ahhhhhhh....blond hair like Lou Dobbs."
Trade successfully for at least one year, then think about quitting work. The market can be hot for 3-5 months, then it changes.
You don't want to be without a job, benefits etc. and discover that what worked for the last 3 months no longer works.
When the market gets long in the tooth, RUT (small caps) seem to lag and the action moves to YM, NDX. Look back to before the last tech bubble and you can see it. It could be a temporary condition as well.
I've got the original in VHS, in the original box, bought from Traders Press at a trader show, way back when.
It shows evidence of how PTJ sold his soul to the devil in order to make the '87 market call and marry an Australian model.
No wonder why he yanked it off the market.
Last I heard CBOT has native stops (market), but not native stop limit orders. So if your market stop is hit and the market is moving you may get 3-6 tick slippage. Perhaps someone who has definitive information on this could clarify the issue.
1. War/military defense budget busting
The tab on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars is now over $600 billion, with long-term estimates exceeding $2 trillion. Now many neocons openly predict the president will invade Iran before the next elections. WWIII will be the new "unintended consequence."...
Its interesting the way the pendulum has swung from guys being irrationally ga-ga about her to now being irrationally venomous towards her.
In the 90's I thought she was weak as a reporter. Now I think she has gotten a lot better - smoother delivery and more intelligent questions.
I could only see doing this if you think someone is trying to reverse engineer your trading system based on your historical trades. You would do this with at least two different brokerages.
I suppose you could launder money this way as well, though there is no guarantee that the funds...
According to this chart, real estate seems to move down for as long as it moved up. So if the up trend was 1997-2005, then the down trend will be 2006-2014.

Don't quit your day job until you have a profitable system over time - at least 12 months. Anyone can be profitable over a 3-4 month period, but the market changes.
If you have been laid off - get another job until you are profitable over a one year time frame. It may take a lot longer to...
If ICE was smart they would offer free quotes on their version of the Russell 2000 for the first year or so. This would ease the transition.
I hope the CME bounces back with something good. I've always thought that a high beta index like the old NYSE beta index would be a good product to...
If the CME keeps losing their fastest growing products like ER2 - they are going to end up like a utility company with a low PE ratio to match.
They best get with the program. The future is electronic trading without legacy/pit impediments.
The longer CME kowtows to the pit, the more business they will lose. ER2 was one of their fastest growing products. If you lose your growth, then its hard to justify a lofty PE ratio.
The future is electronic trading without legacy impediments.
I agree. Japan has been "managing" their currency all along. China is just copying what they have been doing. The IMF or WTO should be cracking down on using currency as a trade barrier.
