You have covered almost all major factors which any trader should consider before deciding on a broker. Out of these, my main priorities are spreads, commissions & withdrawals and i got succeeded in finding a suitable broker, fxview for myself.

MT4 persists simply out of inertia. It’s good and gets the job done.

I'd say do not take minor losses too personally that it starts affecting your mindset but it is important to understand the reason why you are facing those losses.

GBP works for me, also trying out exotics these days, see if that's my calling. Could take the risk only because of their lower spreads.

If we talk about spreads IC has an edge but if we include commissions fxview does. I'd say both are genuinely good. Open a small account and test.
