Unless you're an institution, I fail to understand why anyone would want to use CME, CBOE, Bakkt etc to play the crypto markets. Interested in the notion of 3rd party clearing. Looked around a while ago but could only find OTC clearing. Mind you, it was a while ago.

And therein lies the rub. Not a chance I'm going to post the collateral required for $50M a day without first fully evaluating them. And I'm not paying the silly headline vigs they charge to evaluate them. Oh well. Guess I'll stay on the sidelines for a while longer. :banghead:

Possibly. But it runs fairly close to the basic functionality of most trading screens which expose an API, hence why I asked about existing products. You are right though, it might be just a little too far from the commercial offerings. I could code it myself, but GUI work isn't my speciality...

Market data being data generated by the market itself. At the lowest level individual transactions and orderbook updates. But the software will need to be able to import less granular data too (such as OHLC time bars). All my real-time trading is done by a suite of custom applications...

Spec is pretty much as detailed in this thread. Very basic stuff. Can be iterated upon later to improve. If you (like me) feel it's a hole in the market analysis space that needs filling then by all means knock up a demo and I'll provide feedback. I'm sure there'll be other strategy designers...

Yeah, the graphing capabilities of Excel are pretty good for doing basic stuff. But you can't easily change timescales, drag the x and y axis to compress/expand. I just want the very simple charting capabilities that every trading UI offers. It's a wheel that's already been been reinvented so...
