Nitro, You seem to be a knowledgeable IT-type trader. I believe the X-trader advantage is not only in its software per-se, but also in their TT feed, which is far superior to IB. Not only is it tick by tick, so that (if your machine is fast enough) you should catch every tick of the market...

If I may ask, which firms offer Anvil? (Background: Experienced futures trader. Haven't traded equities before, but am seriously considering it.)

That's my exact setup. Very satisfied customer. Ensign is tops. Great user group too. DTN.iq is as good or better than esignal from what I can tell, and I've used both. Esignal has some small plusses, but DTN.iq is solid, and to me that outweighs any other considerations.
