In combination with their allowance of third party transfers, this seems like a pretty logical conclusion. It's a big hole in their system (granted I'm just going on the info that others have posted in this thread).

He could also trade the bastard index that margins at about half of ES, namely the Russell. Bottomline, most people should just trade multiple lots of the micros and not lose their shirt/s*** in the 1-2x per week binary overnight moves that will stop them out at the highs/lows.

Nothing real specific. I probably misinterpreted IB Dude's post since it seems he was pointing to some specific anomaly. The general jist is that post Feb swoon, even with this mega one way rally, vols stay elevated and I think the deep, deep OTM strikes on the put side can and will stay well...

Pull up a weekly/monthly chart of QQQ/NDX and then think about the tail risk following a one way move of such magnitude.

This is really the template for a lot of down moves past few years. Basically, the one way moves higher via overnight drift, spikes on open, spikes on close remove the price discovery of the old days, so it's a lot of "squeeze" type action. The pent up selling seems to concentrate over...

I fear that's the price for a lack of two way price discovery (especially past few weeks) with lots of unfilled gaps, algos chasing and lifting offers, etc...Pretty much same way its traded for a number of years really, nothing new.
