    Traders around Bangkok?

Hi, any traders here located in the Bangkok, Na Kluea, Hua Hin, Rayong area? I am taking a break from my regular trading operation in Scandinavia for a few weeks of vacation in Thailand. The SET market is very different (no horrible MIFID2) from the European Exchanges. It would be interesting to...

Not sure about that one. I don´t know anyone here that use those providers. But there are really good software available for trading futures here. I have a few friends that used to trade huge size in the futures market (via the Capital Insurance structure) but they had hard time to cope with how...

Depends on what tax structure is used. If you trade via your own company, all costs are deductible. But via ISK for example, no costs are deductible (but the tax is really low anyway, insignificant really). Commissions are deductible in the company structure and also in the private account...

I trade mostly Nordic cash equity, so I am not 100% up to date on what banks offer access to the future markets that you trade. I know that Nordnet were looking to allow trading DAX futures in ISK some time ago, I can check on the progress there.

I am not familiar with the Swedbank offering via ISK. But in general, no day trader here use Swedbank for any sort of trading. Swedbank mostly aim for small accounts. Nordnet, Avanza, Pareto or SEB are the banks most traders use.

IB supported stock exchanges - NO Korean stocks?

That is interesting indeed. I have been looking for a good setup for trading the Thai SET. I use Phillip Capital in Singapore now, but they do not allow short selling Thai stocks for example. It is hard to find any good options in Europe to access the Thai stockmarket. I have only briefly...

Futures Day Trading in Sweden - Tax Implications

Nordica Life, good people over there in Luxembourg. As for futures trading in the ISK account, the Swedish OMX contract is allowed. I think that some banks also allow trading in DAX futures. I mostly trader cash equity myself, so not 100% sure.

Futures Day Trading in Sweden - Tax Implications

No, after the introduction of ISK the Capital Insurance structure has become rather uncommon. Foreign providers like Victory Life or Friends Provident have for various reasons stopped offering the service.

Futures Day Trading in Sweden - Tax Implications

Hi, I can answer most questions about trading and tax in Sweden. If you want to trade and tax in Sweden, there are four structures you can use. 1. Traditional capital taxation for a individual investor - 30% tax on profits, 30% tax on dividends. Capital losses are deductable against other types...

    Traders in Thailand

Thanks for the responses. What about cost of trading the Thai SET? I am used to trading the Nasdaq Nordic markets. Cost of transaction here is really low and my commission level is less than 1 basis point. That is with clearing and all. I spoke to a trader friend in Australia. For...

    Traders in Thailand

Interesting, not that many traders bother with the Thai SET. But that is one of the reasons why I think it is an interesting market. Since I only trade intraday, issues like dividends and closing short positions before settlement are no problem. I have an account with Phillip Capital in...

Singapore SGX Access & Clearing Fee

The SGX derivatives membership fees looks alright. But I cannot find any similar information for SGX Stock membership. Looks like I will have to go via an existing member. There are apparently some rebates for market makers and liquidity providers. But according to the broker I use, those...

Singapore SGX Access & Clearing Fee

Hi! I have recently opened a stock trading account with one of the bigger banks in Singapore. After some negotiations we agreed on a decent commission percentage and leverage level. All good that far, but then the issue of clearing came up. According to my broker, the SGX charge 0.0325% (plus...

    Full time traders in Singapore?

Hi, Any full time traders in Singapore that want to meet up and have a beer and a chat about trading? I have been trading the European equity markets full-time for many years, but it would be interesting to discuss trading in other parts of the world as well. I will visit Singapore later this...

    Traders in Thailand

I have the same question. I have opened demo accounts with a number of Thai brokers. KT Zmico and Nomura for example, but the websites and trading platforms seems pretty unstable and therefore nothing one would like to rely on. Especially during some kind of macro event. Anyone with local...

    Traders in Thailand

Thanks sle. Yes, the NVDR situation is something I have to look into more closely, there is nothing like it in the European markets. But from what I seen so far, a NVDR share trade the same way (and at exactly the same price) as the local share. Voting rights are not important to me since I only...

    Traders in Thailand

Hi! New to this forum. I have been trading full-time for 20 years in the European markets. But now I am looking at starting trading the stock market in Thailand. Anyone here that is trading the SET? It would be interesting to get more insights about the specifics, from what I have seen so far...
