I try to read most threads on here. I'm lost in this one.

How much volume do you consider low vs high? I look at say how much I see after a few hours. I've just been looking at those with huge numbers everyday. ES CL ZM. I'll take a look at all those on the list. Maybe I'm mistaken, is the volume number the amount of contracts that have traded that day?

I've looked at some of those, but those with low volume scare the crap out of me. Thanks for the tip on the book. I've listened to one so far "Market Wizards", and am currently listening to "Trading the zone". I'll add that one next.

I have no idea, "free broker" sounds shitty to me, just the phrase it self. I think the Gov will work with you if you can get the paper work straight. Good luck!

Who is your broker? Just so I know not to ever use them.

Any of the swing traders here who keep positions for at least 1-4 days or more. What are the biggest dangers of holding positions this amount of time. How do you protect yourself other than stops if possible? What are your favorite futures to trade? Why?

I wish I knew what the hell yall were talking about. Have a gut feeling this is a good learner. I understand the scalp part, but the low volatility is something I'm trying to figure out. Does this type of market mean when you buy there is not that many sellers or the price isn't moving very much...

From what I understand this is different for everyone and can't really be taught, is it dealing with losses or way more than that?

I'm about to be forty and my goal is to be profitable by the time I'm 50. Ultimately I want this to be my income when I retire. Maybe even retire early.

Let's see, I think I may know some of that. I think I have the bid/ offer and the different order types down. Still haven't figured out the trailing stop yet or OCO, but I will. I haven't had a day/night where I can sit at home during a whole trading session but I plan too soon. Still playing...

So, a order wether market or limit placed with a time stamp are the same? Care to disclose a little more info on "all of them"? And "has nothing to do with brokers"? What in your opinion is more important than DOM and TinS? Volume profile/Market profile?

How hard is it to get in and out of a real trade vs paper? Do you just get stuck and never get filled while the price passes you buy? Just trying to understand this part more, what are the the most common mistakes? Do limit orders cause you to actually get pushed back once they turn to market...
