It was fairly simple to meet the $9k goal in the practice account. Going for the combine next. TST funded traders, how consistent are you trading a real $ account? How do you feel about your experience at TST? Any advice for me?

Solid advice. I get the loss buffer and the way I see it is if I'm giving someone the ability to trade 200k of my capital, a 5% loss buffer is beyond generous. But that's just me. I'm very disciplined.....until I'm not....but I get what you're saying something like this doesn't leave a lot of...

This is great advice, ill check out topstep. Will probably go with this route as well eventually, 200k capital right away is very tempting, and I'm very confident I won't go over the 10k loss threshold

I'm thinking of joining the online prop firm Tradenet run by Meir Barak. The jist of it is: I deposit $10,000 (that is non refundable) They give me $200,000 capital to day trade with using their software, Once I make back my initial $10,000 deposit, I keep 80% of the profits they keep 20%...

Both positively and negatively, mostly negatively so far. Will see if it was worth it down the line.

Unfortunately none of the advice in this thread will work for you only because you won't apply it permanently as a new trader. The only way you will learn to trade is by making mistakes and then correcting them and slowly building your personalized trading strategy that can take years to master...

Believe it or not, most of us do this FOR that "nervous" feeling of adrenaline. It's the same thing with gamblers. its a high. It's the reason most of us go broke (chasing big gains that make our hearts pump). It'll never go away. But I agree a smaller position size does make it easier.
