Does a Trader Bid Better...Smarter at traditional Auctions??

Traditional auctions are a luxury, for the those who go there to savour the ambience, to enjoy the fame, for those who can throw their money away.

Could you elaborate on that please? Which currency did you trade that has that problem? Eg. if EUR/USD is now quoting bid-ask 1.3337-1.3338, at what price did you place which made you wait for 10 seconds with no takers? And what order type?

So are you saying that it has actually happened to you, perhaps as part of your trading style, when using the platform that when say the euro was showing 20 17 you used a limit order to buy at 25 rather than 17 or lower?

If it their own inability to know how to handle a platform's orders inputs, or their own negligence for leaving an order on the platform which got filled, or using using software that malfunctions, then it is their own wrongdoing. In the case of an ECN that states that prices should not be...

taboni: I tried the demo last year. When I compared the hotspot prices to other price feeds, eg. the majors, some rates moved more or less in line with other price feeds. When the other price feeds moved up, the hotspot price moved up, when the other moved down hotspot price moved down...

There isn't much different trading as company or as individual. Unless the prime brokers mean the company has to have some form of exchange membership, in which case the prime broker will be redundant. Even a $2 company is easy to set up. Weird requirement by the prime brokers.

    What am I not doing?

For binary options, if you think in terms of eg. buy a nearby call and sell a further away call, you get something similar to binary options of 0 - 100 expiry. Alternatively if you think of margin trading whereby eg. buy the dips, it's similar to binary options at the corner prices. In the...

Eg. for CME's front month futures EUR/USD (contract size 125,000) the 100 lots and more are about 3 pips wide. In the case of Currenex, eg. EUR/USD contract, what is the usual bid-ask spread for minimum contract sizes of 10 million and over?

    Hotspot retail: rollover costs

I wouldn't complain about the retarded prices (actually that's what I prefer to see). But I was cut off from the demo very fast, about a few days after I started. It takes time to see how a platform works and whether I can be comfortable with that particular platform. They don't have an...
