How exactly were they 'liberated'? They don't look liberated to me. THey look destroyed. Before, they had a stable, peaceful country. The main problems involved UN and US sanctions on them. Don't be blinded by skewed idealist words of 'freedom' and 'democracy'.

Brazil driving the world into the future? What a joke. It's one of the last big economies that I'd invest in. There may be a lot of resources in Sub-Saharan Africa, but I don't see their economies doing so well.

Why do people go to grad school? Only a small percentage of them will make it. Why would anyone take such a financial risk when the odds are stacked against them succeeding and graduating? :)

It hit its bottom many weeks ago. And just after the bottom, so many were saying we were in a bear market. I'm confused. If this is a bear market, then we were in a bear market spring 2005.

It was that many month long support that was broken, wasn't it? Had to happen at 4am :mad: :D

I doubt his 'jail cell' would have been that bad. Probably would have had a luxury living space, family visits, TV, internet, etc

It was a post from the main Trading forum. I wasn't talking about MY success. I don't even trade forex. But I've enjoyed reading about it and reading people's words about it on this forum. I get confused with various posts that say "forex is a ripoff, no one can make money" :D ... I wouldn't...

Your first mistake :D I don't know why, but econ professors tend to have an overly simplistic view of economics and reality. Usually they think the country should be an anarco-capitalist state.

I've always been confused as to why they thought they could get away with it. So they knew they would probably be in legal trouble, but thought they would probably get away on an innocent verdict, or at worst a very small penalty? I don't get how you can run a company into the ground on purpose...

I short and the stock goes up. I buy and it goes down! :D :( Just been making some bad mistakes on timing though. For a newbie, maybe this is a good time to just sit back and watch and learn :eek:

Hah, yeah. I guess I misinterpreted Friday's close prices on MRO :eek: Thought it was a low 78... this morning the same data feeds tell me it closed at a high 77 :eek: Oops. Wasn't smart to be in under this market situation with my limited skills.
