    Russia Defaults On Foreign Debt

On a smaller scale, the same thing happened in Canada this past winter. Private citizen's bank accounts and credit cards were seized or frozen by the government (on orders by the WEF) because they donated to a legally constitutional truckers protest. And that includes Canadians that donated as...

    Day Trading Options

My trading strategy of options has evolved over the last 17 years. I usually like to own some stock of that option. To answer your question. I trade directional only OTM with a lot of runway. It doesn't mean I hold for that long. I just don't like getting burned by theta. I aim for a delta in...

Uranium stocks & the nuclear arms race...

Good info, but won't be putting any new money in Canada until they get rid of that liberal government. Shutting business, cancelling insurance and freezing bank accounts of protesters and donators is not my idea of a capitalist society. (peaceful festival like protest was over phony mandates)

Cut and run or double down?

I used to sell my losers, just like what the so called experts say to do, but then I had a stock I'd paid $7.50 per for in 2007. 2008 came around and for the next 13 to 14 years it just declined or did nothing. Management just plain sucked. From time to time I would load up on put options to...

Protective put on S&P mini futures

I'd use a long synthetic straddle, IMO only.

Noticed bid/ask spreads very wide currently in the options market - curious why?

I learned my lesson a long time ago, never engage in long options unless they're heavily traded, have a reasonable tight bid ask spread and the VIX is in favorable territory.

    Option Trade for Appreciated Position

You might consider a Long Synthetic Put strategy. For every 100 shares of stock, buy two ATM puts.

    Interesting from Cramer re charts

Long puts become cheaper as the VIX goes lower. I like to short the market with long cheap puts, where selling IMO is just too risky.

    Interesting from Cramer re charts

For the market to make a serious correction, I'm looking for two things: 1) some movement up on interest rates 2) the VIX to fall below 15.

POLL: Big crash coming this week?

June VIX is at 18.95. Still a ways to drop before I start loading up on the long puts.

Child Prodigy Paints Visions from God

I from the school of an infinite parallel universe. After you pass on from here, earth, you wake up in a parallel universe, and say what the "F" kind of a dream or nightmare was that?

I cant make trading work for me

Taking a real profit is good no matter what. From my experience, when your brain becomes like scrambled eggs, and you're second guessing all over the place, step back. Learn scaling in and out to protect from serious losses and keep winners happening. Cheers.

It appears the crypto miner stock might have more room to run.

    Not a fan of crypto…but

I'm a holder of Barrick Gold, which I use as a hedge against a financial disaster. However I've seen "bitcoin" go crazy, yet it has no intrinsic value which causes me great hesitation to get involved. Being a bit old school and reading about the "tulip" craze in the 1600's just adds to the...

    The Great Reset Is Here

Arnie, thanks for the interesting article. I don't really understand SDR's, but my take, it's another form of currency controlled by the IMF, and not backed by anything. It looks like the U.S. dollar will eventually collapse, but doesn't logic demand we go back on the gold standard? The...

    The Great Reset Is Here

According to the author, if you don't use it, you'll lose it. And governments will have access to all your bitcoin balances through their computers.

    Lessons from a failed trader

The Ben Graham way. Seeking out stocks that are underpriced in book and earnings with decent fundamentals. I try and stay near the top of small caps or the bottom of mid caps, that have movement in their trading volumes. I like to study financial statements. And no I'm not an accountant, I just...

    Lessons from a failed trader

I was fortunate enough to learn value investing first, and did very well. It's when I switched over to day and momentum trading my accounts took a hit. After six years of mostly trading sideways, I went back to value investing, and am still in the game. Cheers.
