Value close to 1 means a positive correlation (trading instruments go in the same direction). Value close to -1 means an invert correlation (trading instruments go in opposite direction). Value close to 0 mean no correlation at all.

If you have a trading plan and follow it, the only way you could do dumb thing is to have a dumb plan. Otherwise, you are just following your plan. But your point is not about dumbest things done, but about having stop loss is a dumb strategy...again. Just using different words to mean the same...

Colocated or not, they are market data feed vendor. They connect to each direct exchange feed, and redistribute them to their clients. Market participants who want to have the fastest feeds connect directly to exchanges. They don't go through market data vendor, cause each of them add latency...

Pico is just another market data vendor. They are still slower than direct exchange feed. The terms 'private' and 'public' are misleading. Anyone can subscribe to both.
