    problems with my IQ/ Ensign

My IQ / Ensign has run trouble feed for a long time, however in the last few days I have been encountering data supply problems and now I am receiving no supply at all. The problem seems to be at my end and since efforts to resolve this issue have been fruitless, I am wondering whether to...

Good for you Bob, you are living the american dream, well at least, your american bankers dream. Remember you still have the space between your eyeballs and the top of your head to take on more debt before you can be officially declared to be drowning indebt.

Are you familiar with the terms "hitting or joining the market"

Thanks wareco. I am familiar with hitting the bid/ask, but I think that this hit/join thingy is the difference between going with the volume direction or fading it.

    "Scaling out" is inferior behavior

This sort of dogmatic inane argument will be defended forever by paper traders and dreamers.

Hi Porge, Are you going to share this simple system with the rest of us? Given that success lies in the execution, you stand to lose nothing.

With all due respect B1S1, I am not going to throw 100 lots at a 10% winning system no matter what the W/L ratio happens to be and I strongly suspect that you would not throw your money at it either. Firstly commonsense would intervene and secondly the drawdowns would shut us both down...

Now I see where you are coming from Wave. You may want to re think this 80/20 thingy before you throw money into the ES.

As I say, just passing through, but I do not understand what you are getting at. How are you applying the 80/20 to your trading? Why would you hit an equilibrium point? I would have thought that you are walking up your lot size all the time. I must be thick but I cannot see the specifics...

Just passing through, but your #1 thought must be to trade volume on the ES and therefore your #1 responsibility is to protect your account and maintain your volume. It is all very well to offer hypothetical and at times puritanical thoughts and back tested sytems, but trading 1 -5 lots and...

If so many people are unsuccessful traders...

The law of numbers states that even an idiot will get 2-3 out of 10 correct by default. There is however a man amongst us who has consistently got 10 from 10 incorrect for the last 6 years and has still 2 years to run. You may fade his calls with impunity.

If so many people are unsuccessful traders...

If you are consistently losing money it is because you are consistently inconsistent. Even if you fade your trading signals you will remain consistently inconsistent.

Which breakout shape is more likely to occur?

A and B can break north, suck you in and then head south. Or they may suck you in first in which case you would have not taken a position because you can still remember the pain from being clipped last time. Naturally on this occasion the breakout will run straight and true leaving you...

    Crazy ES Market Profile

You know too much. Very dangerous state to be in as it breeds confusion. And no, I dont know why 34.50 is odd and oddly enough I dont care. Once upon a time, I thought that I needed to know everything. Now I dont.

Coping with Depression following a major drawdown.

You need to step back and take stock. You may in fact have things around the wrong way. It may not be the losses that caused your depression, but rather you were already depressed without really realising it and you continued to trade in that depressed state and incurred losses as a result.
