This is the first Bull Spread I've done. Why is their such a big difference between the bid and the ask? Also, what is the best way to close it?

It took me awhile to figure out Quotetrackers symbol for AT&T options such as T JH. You have to enter 2 or 3 spaces between T and J. Ex: T(2-3 spaces)JH IOW, whenever there is a space in an option symbol, you have to enter an extra space or two. (I forget if it's one or two).

It doesn't save my username and password in the login boxes anymore in Firefox or IE. I'm using the latest TWS. Anyone else have this problem?

This has been a bug for awhile. I'm hoping they will finally fix it. It bugs the hell out of me!

Thanks, but why ending and beginning balance. Isn't one enough? My ending balance is always the same as my beginning for the next month.

Just upgraded to TWS 872.6 version. It seems to work with Java 1.6 and the charts appear faster. Nice going IB!

I use Excel to manually enter my trading balance at the end of every month, and then turn it into a graph. With withdrawals and deposits, the graph isn't accurate. How do I enter and graph my trading balance to take into account withdrawal or deposits?

I'd like to hear more about this too. I've have never got an order to route thru Arca at IB before normal trading hours, even after checking GTC, and unchecking regular hours. Even if I specifically select ARCA instead of SMART, I still cannot get a buy order to add liquidity to get filled after...

I agree that NihabaAshi is a little paranoid, but I'd probably be the same if I'd gone thru what he has. Don't wear a money clip though, or a belt clip for your cell phone. When you go to the toilet in a public restroom, those can slide off of your belt. It's happened to me.

I updated to the newest Sun Java 1.6.0_01 the other day. Since that time, I've been getting out of memory errors with TWS. Has anyone else had this happen OR are there anything I need to change in Suns Java Control panel? Also, I haven't noticed any difference in speed from the old 1.5 java...

Haven't you noticed the market has basically been ignoring economic events for some time now. When news does have an impact, it seems to be forgotten within a day or two. Add to that the many hedge funds that are out to make money, and I see the bull market continuing... at least in some...

I do not daytrade, so you are probably right about that. OTOH, a 2 cent move down and you're out? That is what is ludicous! Hell, spreads are often more than that. Add commision costs and you lose more than you win. Hey, but whatever floats your boat.
