    Another new trader

Why so condescending? We all have to start somewhere. OP, as you already know, the market is not against you. It just feels that way in the beginning. When you gain more knowledge, you'll realize this really is just a game against yourself. You are not competing against anybody but yourself...

    A simple price action approach

Hi NoDoji, I don't know if they are cherry picked or not either. I think you need to open an account with them in order to see the live trades. This obviously is a trend following method. If you get a good trend going, you'll win big with the additional size ups. The hard part would be...

    A simple price action approach

Hi guys and girls, NoDoji mentioned this oil trader in a post awhile ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muazMfl1w-U&feature=channel_video_title Just wondering what others think about his style of trading. From what I can see, he uses 55 and 13 tick charts, no MA or trendlines. He...

    ElecEquity's Active Trading Journal

I must've been thinking about the sim strategy. When you list your biggest winners and losers of the day, are those from your discretionary trading only? or it's from both. Do you trade the same stocks as the bots? thanks for sharing btw,

    ElecEquity's Active Trading Journal

Thanks for the stats! A few posts back you mentioned that the automated strategies were trading 100 share lots, is that still the case?

ElecEquity, great journal! If you don't mind sharing, what software are you using for your automated trades? And how many trades does the automated strategy execute a day?

    Personalized Earnings Calendar?

Hi, let's say I have a watchlist of stocks and I want to know when each of them will be reporting earnings. Is there any website that provide this feature? Hopefully in a format that's easy to read, for example, a calendar with company's ticker symbol marked on the date of their earning's...

    Livermore, Tudor Jones and Cohen

Another great day SO! I'm beginning to see a pattern. Find a stock that had a relatively strong trend day with increasing volume but not too extended. Go with the direction of the trend the next day. Can you give any more details of what you're looking for?

    feeding etrade data into Amibroker

I don't know about etrade, why not use IB, it's very easy to feed data to amibroker with IB. It's only 10 bucks a month data charge if you don't trade the IB acct. Have you tried emailing amibroker? I found them very helpful.

    broker suggestions

So besides TD, any other broker that's good for big size orders? I've looked at Scottrade, Sogotrade, Mastertrader, and bunch of others that offer per trade pricing. But they all have limitations. Scottrade and Sogotrade will charge you 1/2% of your position value if the stock is under $1...

    broker suggestions

TD offers $5 per trade through Izone.com It's the same as the regular TD acct minus phone support and all the handholding. So if you're experienced enough, it's a pretty good option.
