    Wheat - Oct 11, 2006

Pabst, Dead on about the locals...hearing this is the biggest bloodbath ever in that pit. 4 full seats went on the market this week from wheat locals. It is UGLY.

    floor squawk box?

MCurto, You cannot compare Joey B to Hardy...Joey is probably around the 10th to 20th biggest day trader in the SP (majors and minis combined). Hardy can move the 10's because he trades as large as the customers. Absolutely no way Joey can run a market for 800 pts in the SP. Now...back...

    floor squawk box?

ScreenLocal, That is BS. All the big players are still in the pit. Of course there's more volume on the screen. But that doesn't mean the pit has got no influence anymore. Last fed meeting, there was a big move down, then a retracement. AFter that retracement, Borsellino (the biggest...

    Biggest day ever

I worked for a group backed by two SP locals, one of which traded from upstairs and would have positions on in lots of different markets. He made about $6million after 9/11 - carrying long puts...then made about $2million day trading on that first Friday after we reopened and the market had a...

Who are the "Big Boys" (Traders) in the S&P

Hi Dave, I was not trying to pick apart your posts - my apologies if that was how it came across. I wanted to explain that the rumors on the floor and from clerks and so on and so on are usually far off what is actually happening. The only locals arbing against the minis are the smallest...

Who are the "Big Boys" (Traders) in the S&P

As a long time CME member and index trader I have to tell you that some of the comments are a bit off on this thread. The squawk services available commercially are marginal at best. The discusssion about Lewis Borsellino is funny because Lewis stopped trading nearly 3 years ago. His brother...
