    Unsuccessful trading with full-time job

If you are good at identifying trends, esp. intraday trends in the initial stages, this strategy is golden and very rewarding. My flaw has always been that I could not identify "solid" trends. When the reversal happens, it happens fast, and pretty much kills 50% of your investment. With...

    Unsuccessful trading with full-time job

hahaha....oh how I miss all that....I've been out of all that for so long that I'm actually kind of scared to go back to that life. It almost seems like a pointless way to live i.e. without any purpose. But it needs to be done before I dig myself in a deeper hole. You are absolutely right...

    Unsuccessful trading with full-time job

You may not realize this, but you just said something very very important that I never realized until now. You asked regarding why I trade options. Mostly for the leverage, but more importantly, I do it because I feel more comfortable trading companies than coins. When I trade companies I...

Company is Banning Trading from Work?

Yes I do have a lot to learn, esp. in the arena of prop. trading. I had never really thought about it, until you made mention of it. Of course, I not intending to join a firm tomorrow, not that I even could w/o licenses. I just want to know what I need to plan for. So other than the Series...

    Unsuccessful trading with full-time job

by microscopic, I meant, very focused on one stock/contract. As in, no macroscopic monitoring of index, market trend, economics, global activiites, etc. Pretty much, focus on the specific action on that stock/contract and play accordingly. Wasn't referring to time period. Also, yes, I do...

    Unsuccessful trading with full-time job

Hmm...I typically don't go so microscopic on any equity, but I will try to do this and create a plan around it.

I wasn't try to fake humility. I just wasn't clear in my writing. I should've said, "I don't want to discredit your response until I know what you were trying to say exactly". In any case, I appreciate your response and opinion regarding the right mindset. Thanks.

    Unsuccessful trading with full-time job

This is exactly my style. But I'm lacking confidence in it because of my failures and becaus all I hear is buy low/sell high. My experience has been the same as you have seen. Some days the buying of highs goes even higher beyond belief and that's where I have made most of the money. However...

So basically futures and forex. Can you elaborate on how you trade Korean tickers? Do you mean Korean stocks? I didn't know that Americans could trade Korean exchanges.

    Unsuccessful trading with full-time job

My job isn't demanding anymore than demanding my presence for at least 8 working hours. I'll have to take a look at futures. Which platform do you use?

    Unsuccessful trading with full-time job

You are all about the "plan". I don't think it's bad advice. Can you provide examples of plans that have worked for you?

    Unsuccessful trading with full-time job

I suppose I should clarify that I watch for intra-day moves and scalp those. Typically there is always a scalp, but either its overpriced/reverses too fast. One of the things I am trying to improve is finding a good scalp that doesnt reverse too easily
