I’d strongly recommend against anyone shorting via the synthetic, it’s not worth being short calls. They are ridiculously cheap and this is considered a meme stock. Just look at a chart of GME, one day of crazy gap up and you are in trouble. If you want to short it I don’t see any way except...
Go short how? Stock is impossible to borrow and will stay that way.
You can buy puts but they are insanely expensive.
Just look at synthetic stock via Jan 25 options. DJT is trading about $35 right this minute. Anyone going long the underlying is dumb or crazy, just go long via options for half...
If they keep all the trading platforms of thinkorswim, I would be happy. I have yet to find a desktop, iphone, ipad platform I like anywhere near as much. Although I know my rates will go up a lot, it was nice being grandfathered in up until now.
Exactly. I have used thinkorswim since they were created. I was really worried when TDA took them over, but they didn't already have an active trader platform or division. They made it really clear they would keep thinkorswim basically intact, and they did. Schwab is a whole different story...
Just wondering at this point. I have used IB before but wasn't crazy about their platform. Schwab likes to do everything their own way. I am not sure they are going to keep a separate trading platform for every broker they take over. So I would assume the thinkorswim desktop and mobile...
Does anyone have experience with trading futures and futures options at Schwab?
I am just wondering how much Schwab will ruin the ethos of thinkorswim.
Any suggestions for trading futures and futures options if the thinkorswim part of TDA goes downhill because of this takeover? Thanks.
I thought for sure there would be nothing at first, but now a few things point to a pretty good probability of some sort of reduction. I would put it over 50%, which seems to not be the consensus at all.
Doesnât matter what I think, it depends on what exactly he thinks NG will do, and when it will do it. Does he just want a lottery ticket if it blows through 5, or does he just think it will just be reasonably higher over the next six months? Right now I see implied vol rather high vs...
UNG is what you want for natural gas. As mentioned, commodity ETFs have some shortcomings, but UNG will basically track the futures. It has some 2014 months listed currently. The problem would be which strike you are buying and how much exposure. The risk with farther out options is vega as...
If you donât think professional traders should be able to deduct their relevant expenses, then I would disagree. Every other business gets to do it, why shouldn't traders? If you are saying everyone should be able to deduct all investment or trading expenses regardless of trader status, then...
If you read the pdf, you can see that this guy was an active investor who had other income. Few here would consider him an active trader, so it is not surprising that he is viewed as an investor.
His rationale that options should be viewed as actively traded on days where they are just held...
Why do you need a single stand for the two monitors? You linked the u2412m which are good monitors, I have three, but with that stand it is listed at $870. You can just buy two of those monitors (with their own included stands) for about $300 each.
Feel free to post all the incorrect info you would like, that is what this whole website is for right?
I know for a fact that there are brokers that donât charge pro fees for family partnerships.
^I should have mentioned that it is broker specific. Some will allow a husband and wife partnership to avoid all pro fees, while some brokers donât want to bother with giving you the exemption even though they can.
âNon-Commercial Organizational Use:
NASDAQ's definition of...
thinkorswim/TDA, IB, Tradestation, Optionsxpress all have futures options. Each firm has their own advantages and disadvantages, it would be up to the individual traders which one fits best.
You donât have to pay pro fees if the entity was set up solely to manage your own personal money.
As long as you are not doing anything in a pro manner, or holding yourself out as a business, but just using an entity to trade your own money then you can be viewed as a family partnership and...
I have been using thinkorswim for many years, and only very rarely have had any problems. There were times in the past where they went through a couple rough patches, but they have been solid for quite a while now.
As was already posted, you need to switch to the thinkorswim desktop...
My apologies, I forgot for a moment where I was posting. I rarely post here anymore, and will stop once again. A site full of failed traders who care about saving a completely irrelevant amount of money on a computer with components of low quality.
Please continue telling people to buy...
You cut out part of my post. I said for an experienced builder. How many Dells have you had and how many have you built yourself? I have done both, there is no comparison. However, I mean there is no comparison literally, and that cut both ways.
The properly researched, and carefully...
Not going to speak to the refurbished argument, but to say it is a critical system and then buy off the shelf are contradictory to an experienced builder. I can guarantee my built systemâs stability far better than a random off the shelf rig. But you are right for the op, since he has not...
