    Falcon, I agree with you completely. It's gambling. The volatility will kill you. I have been absent from this forum for the last 3-4 years trying to regroup. People will tell you that you can make a living by trading credit spreads and me I don't see how it happens. You need to have your head...

    Prevail, Thanks for the quote. But it doesn't solve my problem. I am looking at RUT RSI(2) at Stockcharts or TOS or anybody else May 4 RUT 832.88 -> RSI(2) =87.45 May 3 RUT 828.87 -> RSI(2)=76.59 May 2 RUT 828.46 -> RSI(2)=75.5065 May 1 RUT 816.25 -> RSI(2) 21.2039 I can't find...

    Anybody knows how to calculate RSI(2). I have the right formula but because they use nbrdays up and nbrdays down in the calculation, I may have a number divided by 0 when there are a lot of consecutive up or down days (like last three weeks). I am doing some backtesting around Stochastic and...

    If you were in for 0.50 cents credit, I can understand your dilemma. That's the bad part of going FFOTM If I was you, I would stay in based on technical only. You should get some pullback in the next 2-5 days. Then you will make the choice to roll or close.

    That's why I don't buy front month. I stay within the month and adjust as necessary. During the big drop, i opened some vertical call for April to balance my potfolio but I do that only with 15 days to go in the present month. If you are doing CTM timing is important so opening June...

    Yipp, How did you handle the rollercoaster last month. It was wild for me, A lot of adjustments some not needed some needed. But at the end I managed to lose 5K and I am extremely satisfied. I expect some losing month; the key is to lose small when losing and make big. I made some...

    I took some losses, closed CTM and reopen further. The wind has changed and volatility make it a little bit difficult but at the end I like where I am at for this expiration. If I lose 5-6K this month I will be greatful. Adjustment is the name of the game ; I made some on-time adjustment that...

    He is trying to be right and everybody else wrong. It's childish and stupid. Maybe He is trying to tackle me and YIP because He knows We trade RUT. By the way Trend: I didn't lose money this month, I close my 31 RUT FEB CALL at 1.10 debit and I left my 20 FEB RUT PUT 800/790 for 1.0...

    I don't have as many 810/820 as 820/830 . So I am keeping them for now and I will will wait for either close them or add more PUT to compensate. The market is going crazy and that's part of it. You need to have guts to stay. I am analyzing it everyday and will make decision in the next day or so.

    Yes I still keep my 820/830 @2 credit. I am nursing some 810/820 /770/760@2.30. I am holding on until we get some down days (one or 2). The market is tired and overbought (short term) so I am willing to take the risk and observe. I could close and move to MAR but I never do that on an...

    Yipp, I wasn't trying to offend you. I thought you were trying to enter a Bull PUT to protect a call vertical 800/810 or 810/820. What I meant in my original message, If you are trying to adjust every time the market moves against you, you will be saturated wiyh positions. But if you trade...

    Yipp, Did you enter your 780/770 PUT yesterday? Now You understand why I questioned the rationale behind your decision to enter a PUT Vertical yesterday when there was no indication the market would keep going higher from there. I was waiting for my indicators to line up before I enter...

    Usually, I try to get in at MID; If I absolutely want to get in, I go MID -0.10c and most of the time I get filled within seconds. I did sell 770/760 but I don't see the opportunity you get in selling 780/770 today. Me I am waiting for the setup to open 780/770 for a debit as I want to...
