A wishlist to trading Santa (this is a magical thread)

Yes, this is a magical thread. Don't believe in magic? How naive of you. At the end of this thread, every brokerage firm out there will read our wishes and grant them to us. Instantly. Trading Santa will make it so. He operates in summer, not Christmas, so don't worry we're good on that front...

Could this SIMPLE thing improve the odds of making money?

Completely agree, and I'm well aware of this. The point that I was trying to make is not whether such a platform would make someone a winning trader. They would need a positive expectancy method to begin with to make money. But what I was saying is that it should improve the odds of making...

Could this SIMPLE thing improve the odds of making money?

apparently the first 100 people to see this thread don't think this is a great idea. or they just haven't realized the genius of it. lol

Could this SIMPLE thing improve the odds of making money?

Based on my own trading for several years, and all the books and research I've read out there, it seems to me that the two biggest reasons for trading losses (and ultimately failure) are incorrect position sizing and not keeping stops properly. All the other "sexier" things like entry set-ups...

How do you get rid of the "ego"

What has worked for me is to NOT fight the ego, because when you fight it, that's just your ego coming in the back door, so to say. The best thing is to be aware of your thoughts and resistance, and to accept and welcome them without getting caught up in them. This is not easy to do, and it...

Any huge size stock day traders out there?

Its not so much the learning path but the crazy-ass language you were using. If anyone on this site, no matter their level of experience, can decipher what u said, I must say I'd be impressed! lol

Any huge size stock day traders out there?

Thanks for ur insights guys. Jack: I have no idea what you said :) But it sure as hell seems interesting, so if you could explain it in terms I can understand that would be much appreciated ;) Jeb: I trade through Advantage Futures, and I have a seat lease on the CME so my commissions are...

Any huge size stock day traders out there?

Quick question. I'm an ES day trader that trades decent size (up to 100+ lots) and will be trading much bigger size soon (1000+ lots) when I start managing investor money other than my own. I'm looking to broaden out my scope and expand my repertoire by also day trading stocks, which is...

Where to get charts that substract one future contract from another (for spreads)?

most software packages can do that. I have e-signal and all you have to do to create a spread chart is to type one symbol, press space bar, then minus sign, space bar, then other symbol. example: YM #F - NQ #F. You can also put a +, / , or * sign.

Come on Traders... I'm sure someone out there knows a software with a "tabs" feature!

I just wrote a post a couple days ago asking if anyone knew of a software that has a tabs feature that allows you to display numerous different charts side by side on a single tab, and then have other tabs with different charts. Ex: a news tab, a market internals tab, a global markets tab etc...

Who knows of any good multi-tab charting software?

Silvermotion, Thanks for the suggestion. However, that won't work for me because I don't look at price-based technical indicators (i.e. studies). I look at different markets (intermarket analysis) and market internals (TICK, TRIN, AD Line etc.). Those aren't considered studies, and thus...

Who knows of any good multi-tab charting software?

Truff, Thanks, but you misunderstood my original question. I'm not looking to add time intervals. I know that is possible to do. I'm looking to add tabs at the bottom of a page to be able to scroll through them quickly and look at different chart symbols on each different tab. I just checked...

Who knows of any good multi-tab charting software?

E-signal has it? I'm not aware of that.... could you tell me how to do it if you don't mind?

Who knows of any good multi-tab charting software?

Hi, What I mean by multi-tab is a main charting page with tabs on the bottom that you can easily flip through and see different combinations of charts in real-time. I currently use E-signal, and it has no such feature. I track numerous markets and internals as I trade, and although I have...

    Are intraday Candlestick patterns useless?

Well thank you all for the detailed responses.... especially NihabaAshi. Just to make it clear, I don't intend to use them exclusively, but rather to use them to provide my entry and exit signals in the context of a broader top-down market approach that looks to be in the direction of the market...

    Are intraday Candlestick patterns useless?

I'm sure you've all read or heard that candlestick patterns work on all time frames. While that initially made sense to me, I've thought of a potential problem that I'd like to get opinions on. Basically, the main crux behind candlesticks is the relationship between the open and the close...

    Best prop firms

To all those that posted useful comments (especially BOSS HOG), thanks a lot. As for zdreg... i'm not exactly the best person u can get into a war of words with. But since i'm on here to get genuine answers, i'm not even gonna get into that. But for ur information, I've done 3 weeks of non-stop...

    Best prop firms

Selective is an understatement. I think they're the most selective firm there is. I graduated top of my class with a 4.0 GPA and the highest cumulative average over 1300 seniors, but because my university is not well know in the US (it's overseas), I think I got totally ignored. but their...
