    Options Trade Not Filled Question

1 contract = 100 shares. Also there are "Hidden Orders" where for instance 1 could mean in reality the MM/exchange has 250-500-XXX contracts to fill but only "shows" say 5 the remainder being "hidden" so not to spook the market! Here you go...

    Options Trade Not Filled Question

did you rout it to a specific exchange & did you observe the depth of their offer? In fast markets &/or low volume options the MMs will show only 1 contract @ a given price so not to get slapped with a big order they have no home for. IF you are not in a hurry, try a FOK - Fill Or Kill - order...

    CNBC food fight @ ~10:47ET

hee hee. 1 - Mark is 100% long cash, and Erin has been ribbing him on being a chicken and not stepping in. Did so earlier - which is why I know. 2 - Actually it should be 97 but when Baron rolled over to this forum platform, it got to 99. I am one of the original members. As for posts, a...

    CNBC food fight @ ~10:47ET

If anyone has the food fight that took place at about 10:47, when Erin placed an M80 under Mark's ass, and he went off, with others joining in - not to same extent - it may be worth uploading it to youtube then posting the linky. Mark REALLY got pissed and went off for such a really benign...

    Limit Down in ES ?!

With the global economies tanking, ALL strong global banks will soon begin to position & posture to help their own. BOJ was a notorious manipulator in the 80s, so with the yen strong for natural causes, tehy won't get in the way just yet, but shortly, they will begin messing around so you are...

    Limit Down in ES ?!

That is the result of unwinding of the "carry trade" - due to near zero interest rates in Japan, in the 'good old days" big players borrowed in Japan, sold yen bought USD or EUR then played in international/commods markets. Now the opposite is happening. Unwinding their positions, thus going to...

    IB backfill is terrible!

Other than jumping ....... to (wrong) conclusions, do you practice any other sport? Even if you do, I strongly suggest a similar sport, well suited for the intellectual and moral characteristics you've displayed so far. If I may suggest, "jumping out of windows", or even jumping from high...

    IB backfill is terrible!

I am not familiar with your posts, other than what you've posted here, but do you attempt to maintain a balance when you engage in an argument, or do you argue for the sheer pleasure of being argumentative, even if it means contradicting your own previous statement(s)? My initial post dealt...

    IB backfill is terrible!

Syprik, Are you reading my posts? All I bitched about were their recent data issues and the poor CS service. What this crap was all about I have no clue, other than that you have a tendency of jumping to (wrong) conclusions. My last post makes it clear that I've had (at least) TWO data...

    IB backfill is terrible!

Have you noticed the plethora of other posts on this subject? Many day traders require ACCURATE up to the minute charts in order to conduct business/trade. W/o that requirement I cannot trade. If I cannot trade, why do I need a broker? When I chose IB, as one of my brokers, the adjectives...

    IB backfill is terrible!

I agree, and that's a bitch. I've been using these idiots for ~4 years, mostly as a backup brokers, and exclusively for my futures acct. Also agree with this being their first "major" fuck-up, the problem being, I stopped keeping track of blown deals at $30k. I took some time off, so I need to...

    IB backfill is terrible!

Hey Baron, I just noticed that I lost credit for some ....... 600+ posts made during the "yesteryears". Someone had lobbed my way an email, with a linky pointing to my screen name being among the top 10 posters ........ way back then. Its been a while ........

    IB backfill is terrible!

That's not a solution if you run any studies ie, fibs, trend lines, etc, anything which require refreshing the chart(s). It would be much simpler, and appropriate, if they behaved responsibly, since we DO pay for the damn platform one way or another. Same for the tards at support.

    IB backfill is terrible!

An hour or so ago, I got off the phone w/ Angel (sp?) @ IB's support. I wanted an answer as to WTF, at log-in time, it took 20+ minutes to load the charts, which normally take 20 seconds or so - basically inquiring if they were having NEW problems. Of course in a condescending manner, his first...
