I firmly believes in Gann's observation that Time Turns Trend. In other words, price level by itself is not enough tell whether the item is "oversold" or "overbought". It takes time to exhaust a trend. The trick is figuring out "how long".
Demark's work simply gives weight to the time...
Jason Pearl in his new book published by Bloomberg describes how to set risk level if you trade perfected TD Setup or at TD Sequential/TD Combo countdown completion. If you want the 1 sentence version, it's essentially finding the True Range of the lowest (if you are in Buy setup/Countdown)...
I don't really have much to add to the discussion except to say that I have accounts at Charles Schwab, Interactive Brokers, and most recently Thinkorswim. Here are my observations:
- TOS's trading plaform is highly intuitive. it is extremely easy to understand and tap its features...
This showed up on my IB TWS screen (rather cryptic)
To ECBOT,GLOBEX traders:

Trading is halted in Livestock, Dairy, and Interest Rate futures and options due to technical problems at the exchange. All Day and Session orders placed prior to 18:30 will be...
The key is get on the phone with a TOS rep, and tell them that you are currently an Interactive Brokers customer, and would like to know what competitive rate TOS can offer versus Interactive Brokers. The rep will moan a bit about IB's all-in cost (all kinds of miscellaneous fees that will...
Take a look at July 08 Copper. See attached file. It's May 5th 8:00am before the pit started trading.
Not sure what that is, but looks like bunch of stops placed just beyond the copper all-time high all got tripped with the shorts' faces ripped off.
If BSC is the only stock in the suckers' portfolio, the brokers may be left holding the bag -- or i guess the repo man will be getting a call from the brokers to try to reclaim something.
Otherwise the broker will rip off the suckers' faces by selling the suckers' other stocks from under them...
I think CITIC had a stock swap with Bear Stearns a couple delusions and falling knife episdoes ago. I wouldn't be surprised if CITIC's deal guy reponsible for this one is now assembling toxic Chinese toys for $1 an hour.
I was ahead of Julian. I was doing this trade back in September 2007.
Here's the link on how I did it (with some pointers from a couple knowledegable traders help on this board):

Does anyone have paper copy of The week of December 31st issue of Barron's?
I need the 12/27/2007 Barron's Gold Mining Index price and the 12/28/2007 Handy and Harman's Gold price.
Much appreciated if you have data to private message me or reply here. Thanks.
I am looking to buy a copy of "What I Learned Losing a Million Dollars" by Jim Paul and Brendan Moynihan.
If you have a copy willing to sell, please contact me via message. Thanks.
I also remembered him pushing LEND before it imploded early this year. Every time he touted that thing on his shout fest show, I'd sweat a little on my short position the next morning, wondering whether there'd be a Cramer-induced pop into the open. But fortuantely as a result of position...
Right, so why don't we just dispense w/ democracy and go w/ a dictatorship? Btw, I think Hillary would make a fine dictator -- among the psychotics running for election, she has the smarts and cunnings to be a very good and ruthless central planner.
Nonsense. Go the mises.org and read some of Ron Paul's writings in the 80s and 90s. He's the only one in Congress who's qualified to expose HeliBen's crackpot monetary theories.
I would agree. I think HeliBen, unlike Elmer, truly bellieves his own shit, i.e., at the slightest whiff of deflation, try inflation, and if that doesn't work, go hyperinflation.
