    options w/ higher deep-out-of-the-money premium

Not expecting one, just stating that I know there is always another black swan in the future. I mostly added that line to the original post to deter any posters from turning this thread into one about how "that strategy is worthless yada yada yada", that same old story.

    options w/ higher deep-out-of-the-money premium

Hello, I'm thinking about selling insurance, even though this is a negative expectancy system w/ the black swan looming up above. Anyone have a quick list of instruments with high premium far out of the money (equities or commodities)? Thanks in advance.

How to hold a winning trade?

The theory is simple. I have a similar strategy that can pick tops and bottoms effectively with a decent percentage. Just think like this: If you're long, don't exit until you'd want to short. If you're short, don't exit until you'd want to go long. Theory is simple. The execution...

topline % tax on US futures

Forgive my ignorance--thanks again to everyone who contributed to this thread. I have a question: We are taxed (futures traders) on our gross profits minus our gross losses--I think this is the jist of the 1099 form we get from our brokers? Now--if we are actually meant to make...

Software to quickly look at stock charts.

Anyone know of software that can rapidly comb through thousands of stock charts with a click of a button? Speed is important. The ability to simply "view all NYSE" stocks in alphabetical order would be key as well.

Sad that it takes rate cuts to rally the market...

market conditions concerning rate cuts before and after have been pretty predictable lately.. why is everyone complaining? watch what happens and trade accordingly.

    Oanda - Wtf ?????!!!!!!!

you're trading within a predefined market that oanda creates. i dont think this is new information.. you dont have a recourse here. all forex brokers are creating a "pseudo" disjointed market based loosely on the real interbank exchange. of course, correct me if i'm wrong (anyone that...

Are we at a short term bottom?

looking at the chart, it hasnt made a short-term higher higher, followed by a support to make a higher low. you can try to catch a falling knife, with a small stop, a low risk high reward play, but the probability of making a successful trade given this criteria is low. just my two cents.
