Spreadsheet / Data recording help needed

Does anyone know how to record live data into a spreadsheet as it streams in? I have the DDE link setup and also a clock macro, but have yet to figure out how to have the sheet record the price, drop down and then record the next price so on and so forth creating a list of historical prices...

All profit being equal, I would rather have my money behind a trader that produced consistent profits over multiple days rather than a trader that lost money on multiple days only to hit a homerun that made up the difference every once in a while. If that homerun doesn't come, he's screwed and...

Next Monday is cool then. Having some services hooked up today is why I decided to postpone another day or so. I hope to pull several checks, lol. The % of winning days is more to gauge consistency than the bottom line. A very low winning percentage but high profit "can" signify a lucky...

It is the same game as long as you understand how contracts affect risk vs individual stocks and how to account for it. 2% risk is 2% risk no matter what your trading. As long as you can calculate that, determine your parameters, and stick to them, your good. Many of the same methods and...

I actually feel that their parameters are NOT too restrictive, but actually very achievable once you begin to see the trading style they are looking for. In fact, I would dare to say they are quite tolerant. Again, if you discover and trade in the manner they are looking for, there is ALOT of...

I have done extensive research on my own for my own situation. The conclusion I have come to is that TST is NOT a scam. It is a wonderful business plan with the combine serving as a brilliant direct marketing tool. It is not a scam because the do what they say they will and back a successful...

also appears profits are taken at about 8-10 ticks if a decent run starts. Everytime I get to that level, it seems to reverse and eat up all the profit with a selloff. Need to start exiting or flipping at 10. One thing that is proving difficult is getting back on the right side of the...

Playin around with timeframes for entry/exits. A little different feel than what I had been doing, but I guess when I started in stocks I had the same difficulty before settling on a set up. Was looking at 15/5 on CL and getting whipsawed. Expanded out to 1hr/30mn and gonna try that.

Playing around with the T4 SIM. I like the trading and the execution is awesome compared to what I was doing for order entry on my equities. Still figuring it out though and making mistakes. For instance, I went to sell out and double clicked...this sold me out, but then put me immediately...

Looked at CL again, much more manageable than it was before.

Whew! Screw CL! That's like trying to catch a chicken! Nice easy pace on 6E though. Gonna look at ES in a few. Thanks, J.

Gonna have to take a break from that and find the error tomorrow with a fresh mind and perspective. Just too tired and scrambled right now.

HOLD ON>>>>NOTICED AN ERROR>>>WILL REPOST PICS IN A MINUTE Really only the right side of the sheets matter anyways, the rest is just range

How can one observe total volume on an hourly basis in order to determine when a particular market is active? While the futures markets are mostly open 23hrs a day, I would think some markets are more active during different time zones depending on who is trading them. ie: 6E is actively...

Playing around with 6E with an entry of 12833, a stop of 12826 and a initial target of 12846. So far doing OK. Actually the T4 is not horrible once you play around with it live. A few things I have not figured out yet, but right now all I need it to be able to buy/sell and set a stop. I...

Strange thing. Playing around with CL. You would think that since it has a lower tick value it would be less lucrative, but somewhat easier to manipulate. In fact, the opposite is true due to the lower tick of .01 compared to a tick of .25 when trading ES. I find that you have to set your...

Yep, had to set up a sheet specifically for CL by re-doing much of the math to move based on tick moves of 1 instead of 25 like ES. Think I will just set up a sheet for 2-3 different products and observe only those markets. Still working though, If I can find a way to adjust that variable on...

Also, I know this is a result of the higher profit target. I am looking at it as "what's realistic for a daily average." Again, if your trading capabilities achieve an average of $250, you would be pushing yourself beyond that to strive for $350. This could lead to overtrading or sloppy...
