    It's all linked: people read positive and bullish articles in the news paper then call broker to buy more mutual funds. The funds have to buy more shares in open market. This makes market look more bullish, so the papers report more bullish stories...and so on, Repeat cycle until bubble blow...

    I have heard of this, of your option is not in the money you lose all time premium after a takeover. usually you lose everything unless in the money. It is a risk. Do your DD.

    in canada we have rule that they can not send money to anyone but the account name holder. This would prevent such problem.

    I agree. Questrade (cybertrader platform) is a good weapon. Tradefreedom and IB, do not like their platforms.
