    Sterling API Developer Thread

When Delphi 2007 imports the SterlingLib COM object, it seems to import successfully, but it doesn't import the structQuoteSnap type correctly. The app compiles ok with the imported TLB.pas file, but I get a runtime error of: "Invalid Variant Operation" when I try to access the...

    Sterling API Developer Thread

200 transactions per minute not second. And that's the very high end. I'll look around for another quote provider perhaps. Also, would it matter that I'm instantiating a new STIQuote object for each signal? Anyone think it will help to use the same quote object across signals?

    Sterling API Developer Thread

I've written an app that uses Sterling to trade. It's written in Delphi and trades fairly frequently - say 200 trades a minute. We're consistently having problems with Sterling Trader staying up and running. The app generates a signal to trade a symbol, uses STIQuote to get a quote, then...

    list of filters

Check out Trade-Ideas. The filter list they have is extensive and contains probably any filter you'd need to use. Here's their filter list. There are a lot of folks using it for reversion to mean strategies like the ones you're talking about.

    Sterling API Developer Thread

I mean "This application will shut down". I've actually restructured my program a bit and it seems to have helped. However, I still get crashes on XP, but Vista is essentially crash free. It seems to be related to the frequency of the trades, but I can't say that for sure. Do most apps...

    Sterling API Developer Thread

I'm developing a trading app which is most of the way done. The problem is Sterling Pro crashes without warning. Initially Sterling support was helpful back in the early stages of development, but since I started asking about the crashes I hear nothing but crickets from them. Any idea how...

Automated exit on MA touch with IB. Does it exist?

That's about right - there are options to get it for less with more up front. Also, there's a one time fee for the Odds Maker - the backtesting component. PM me if you have specific questions and want to follow up.

There are robots that allow you to use the Odds Maker to trade through Assent and IB. There is at least one other on the way. We are looking at other options, too, Sterling being one.
