the "BOB" spread is an exchange listed spread offered by the CME. It's the 30 year v the 50 year. curious as to the 50 year yield-

I'm long the May/June/July FLY. ;-)

The 30 bond is yielding 3.16%. so I doubt the 50 year is less than that. Certainly not less than 3%.

The U.S. 50 year bond is trading 156160 March future. any one know what the yield is on the 50 year. Also called the ultra bond.

Atticus- I started trading VIX spreads synthetically before the CFE introduced VIX spreads as an actual cleared product like the BOB spread can trade as a synthetic or an exchange listed product. the CFE spreads offered by the exchange are a recent listing and I recall seeing them indroduced but...

Jgills & cdcaveman- I do see the synthetic VIX spreads trade in $10 increments. I stand corrected on this. nice get. SLE chimed in with his 2 cents but me thinks I hear crickets...with relation to his post.:eek: :

jgills- how could you sell VIX M/N at .86? it trades in nickels. the lowest tic is 5. at $50 a tic. ??

if you are "long the belly" that means you are short the fly. and you should list the months in order. F is jan J is april and M is june,

I'm less sanquine than you- just remember these same lawmakers love to trumpet the economy on slow equity rallys but if the markets correct- it's "oh let's blame the traders/speculators" a meaningful change would be to get banks to mark to market.
