After clicking BID or ASK to create an order, if I right click and select "Check Margin Impact", I get a pop-up that states "No Trading Permissions". So I assume I cannot execute trades.
Hi everyone,
Take a minute and click on the link below. It will send a nice form email to your congressional leaders to repeal the proposed "Trader Tax". This would be terrible for all of us!!

Hi Alan,
I've been checking your blog periodically, but nothing has been posted yet. Just wondering if you are still planning on posting material at some point?
In these tumultuous financial times it would be nice to see ideas/thoughts from a seasoned veteran such as yourself.
Hope to...
Can someone explain the process to import Intraday ASCII data into TS 2000i? I believe this is possible to do because I have seen examples of people doing this in various Forex forums. Also, the TS help file explains how to do this (see below). Finally, I am able to import the data using...
Fabulous Life Presents: Presents: Billion Dollar Wall Street Ballers
Did anyone catch this show on VH1? I had it saved on my DVR with the intention to burn it to a DVD, however, the DVR ran out of space and deleted it! Do'h! Anyone have a copy? VH1 doesn't have it scheduled to air again...
I just figured out what was happening.
TS is rounding up to the nearest 0.25 point. For example, you cannot buy ES at 1243.80 so it rounds up to 1244.
Smart!
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Ron, it seems to be doing what you are describing. It seems like there is some algorithm at work.
To be clear on the code, I am placing a buy stop when the price equals or exceeds the (Open + Some Value). For example:
Open = 1100
Value = 5 points
Place a buy stop order @ 1105. So...
I just created a signal with the following buy logic:
buy at opend(0) + value stop;
Now I started exploring the individual trades on the backtest report. Some of the trades are being filled at the High of the bar, some are being filled at a value between the [opend(0) + value] and the...
Thanks guys. I did have the session still in GlobalServer, but the reset button wasn't checked, so I assumed they were being suppressed. As soon as I deleted them out of GlobalServer that resolved the issue.
I have data loaded into Tradestation 2000i that is displaying 24-hour trading data. I have it configured in GlobalServer to only display during the day session, but the chart is still showing the night session as well.
Is there a way to suppress the night sessions? Also, will the strategy...
How do I set TradeStation 2000i to close trades at the end of day during backtest?
I have a bunch of entry signals, and anytime one is taken intraday, I would like TradeStation to exit the trade at the days close.
I believe this a setting I can select in TradeStation without having to code...
Does anyone remember a trading platform or data provider called something like:
Commodity Core Graphics
Commodity Core Classic
Commodity Corp Graphics
Commodity Corp Classic
They offered a Tic level database. I know they were still around in 1996.
I have an old paper from 1996 that...
Does anyone know if there is a simple way to view arrays in tradestation 2000i?
For example, I created a variable called TARGET and I want to see the array values for TARGET on a Bar by Bar basis.
This will allow me to troubleshoot problems with a trading system more effectively...
I am looking for a small piece of Intraday 5-min data for Tradestation
2000i so I can calibrate a system in Amibroker(I have a tradestation
system that I coded in Amibroker, but I am not sure if they are
working the same way). If I could get 10-days of intraday data in
both Tradestation I...
It's pricey, but for Tick level data this seems pretty complete.

Has anyone seen any other data providers with this much tick level data with a comparable price?
Most of my trading is in Futures, Options, Commodities, and Forex. I don't need equity data. Also, why would you pay for equity data when you can download it free from Yahoo? (not trying to be sarcastic, just curious why someone would do this?)
Does anyone have any opinions about the best End-of-Day Data provider? I am trying to find a good data provider, and here is where I am at:
