C,
I was unable to continue our PM for some reason so I figured I would reply to you through the thread.
I could facilitate the business but since it would be DVP, (Execute GSEC and clear elsewhere) I'm not sure it would be any different than what you already have going. The Pershing...
I handle business development for the firm and recently started using the proprietary automation software. The software is built primarily for intra-day equity strategies for now but is evolving. It is extremely easy to use and even a trader like myself with little to no programming skills can...
I got a few PM's about my office in the Philly area and was a bit confused until I found an old thread of mine had resurfaced.
I set up an office in Berwyn when I moved back from NYC in '09. The bottom line is that unless you are in the city proper, most traders would prefer trading remote...
Are you using, promoting, or just came across and decided to pass the site on? If you are a user, can you offer your findings and would you recommend it?
The system I am currently trying out (about two weeks now) is designed more for the intraday trader. It is very easy to pick up but...
I haven't but I might try in the future. For now, I think I am going to work with the group that approached me and find out just how simple and reliable their software is. Who knows, maybe it will end up being a nice product that even a dummy like me can learn..... I am a long time trader who...
Thanks to everyone for the input. I did hire a programmer to do some work for me back in 2004 and lets just say it didn't end well. I also recommended a programmer to another group several years ago and that too ended badly. That said, I have no interest in hiring a programmer and reliving past...
I have been a manual independent trader since 1999 but have little to no programming experience. I am curious if there is a software out there that would allow ME to program my trading ideas, backtest and live trade all in one system? Understand that I am completely and 100% an idiot when it...
I'm OK with the wonder pets, thank you.
I would never argue with someone over Jim Cramer. Primarily just offering my opinion and I guess I have a lower one for 50-100 mill.
Financial advice providers are entertainers. Sell, Sell, Sell!!!!
I began trading in September of 1999 and have considered CNBC a part of my trading career. I have had CNBC playing in the background every market day from 8AM till 4PM since my very first trade.
After Mark Haines unfortunate death, CNBC decided to shake things up a bit and place Jim Cramer...
Exactly, so why even concern yourself with anything he says. Ben Bernanke is a sales person pitching what he believes is going to save us from crisis. My point was that listening to Ben Bernanke talk yesterday, last week or three years ago is not going to give you a real picture of what is...
"There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system...
Here is what I have heard.
38 Assent employees let go this morning. Anvil shelved and looks like traders are given 60 days to relocate.
I also remember Worldco final day and how annoying it was to see 15 guys standing out front with business cards but I guess the traders have to go...
My only advise to anyone out there buying R/E is to never listen to a Realtor. They are salesmen, nothing more.
There are plenty of seasoned investors out there and I would recommend finding 1 if you are lost.
BTW. If you really want exposure to R/E, buy a REIT!
Take a look at the site...
