Is there a good platform recommendation where I can simulate an option hedge against a futures trade in ES? I have access to Interactive brokers and Thinkorswim/Ameritrade.

Its not 5% at some arbitrary price. Max risk is 5% of acct for a given trade. Stop is placed above/below pivot or where price turned. Size is adjusted for needed stop and allowed risk $.

You can do a few things which will help: 1. Wait for confirmation 2. Keep your stop at a level which keeps risk contained 3. Allow for a 2nd entry following same above rules if you feel strongly about the signal or give some room for these shake downs. If you follow a fixed set of rules...

I would recommend you take the time to draw several trend lines across several instruments and see for yourself whether they: a) react b) move c) make new highs/lows

You just need to learn it, can't say one is more important or harder than the other. For a trend trading swing system like mine on the ES, I scale out on new highs or lows guided by Price Action driven lines.

Why is the gauntlet any better than TST or Oneup which have a much smaller fees and larger funding amount? is it just that it has more relaxed rules?

Volume has dried majorly last 3 trading days (including today). Is it due to big playing traders taking summer off?

Once you accept loss as cost of doing business, it won't be a major hurdle. I suggest you read the Disciplined Trader my Mark Douglas if you haven't already. It can help with the psychology of trading.

Ninja works well. Just enable market replay option and it keeps saving data for you. When you need it, just open a market replay connection and keep forwarding/rewinding/increase speed.

I am not sure what NT means by life time license if you are going to start limiting customers from signing up with brokers after a certain day. I have a multi broker lifetime license and am assuming that if I want to sign up with a broker still supported via NT, I will be able to setup...
