I've got to say that Yahoo H/Backfill is very unreliable. No data for any of my ASX stocks for Nov 4. Fortescue Metals one of the largest companies on ASX no data since Oct 31. Renders QT useless imo. What's the purpose of backfill data compared to historical data? As there is free Tradingroom...

Unfortunately I don't have a login and password. Or does owning QT entitle me to one? And would it provide ASX (Australian) data? Thanks.

Although I have update 398a this new update file is slightly different. Have applied it. Bigcharts and default backfill is still not working but it is the weekend here if that has any effect. Yahoo is working and if need be I will just edit the corrupt data out.

There's a real problem with the Yahoo data, it's so inaccurate. I have a stock that I trade regularly. It's price ranges between 1 and $2. The Yahoo data is 95% right but interspersed amongst the data for a 2 year period is closing prices of $35 odd. Didn't have those problems with BigCharts data.

I was just thinking the other day as I 'liked' your Facebook page, how you were going to capture new users who have perfectly good working QT programs. Certainly if I can use my Etade trading account to pull all the data in reliably and on demand including intraday you'd be swaying me away from...

Default Backfill worked fine until last Friday. Don't know why it's dead now. I use my Australian customer etrade account for quotes (that you supplied some time ago through QT support). I don't suppose I can use that in any way for Historical Backfill? Thanks.

Looks like there's a problem with Historical Backfill. Using Default or BigCharts gives me no data. Also right clicking on a chart and doing Bigcharts for xxx gives me a data fetch error when trying to display big charts. Yahoo still works but I find it very unreliable and sometimes inaccurate.

Strange thing is some quotes work some don't. If I exit the program and restart it sometimes some inactive quotes start working. Feels like something is 'stuck'. Might try the clear data fix even though I want to keep my intraday data.

I have a live Etrade Australia Account active for both Level II and Quotes.

I actually click on the Auto button and it goes green. It tries to update and I get yellow and green status line showing all is working. But most of the quotes don't update (quote time column remains unchanged). It's got me stumped.

Why is it that my Level II/Market Depth screen updates buy my symbol list/quotes or intraday graph don't update.

Whenever I export data from an intraday chart it always displays the date and time 14 hours behind my current time. I've changed all the timing settings to Australian Eastern Standard time. The date export is correct for the historical charts. Any ideas?

Yes that's my hope. I have Etrade intraday data coming in for the ASX. If that keeps working and I can still get EOD/historical I'll be happy.

I've just heard about this and I'm devastated. I live in Australia and use live data feed from etrade for intraday. Will this all end in the new year? Any plans to keep QT alive?
