Where can i get my taxes done cheap?

Cheap does not equal done right. I had someone do my taxes cheap they screwed it up. It is now costing me thousands to have someone represent me in the audit. Spend the dough and have it done right.

    Current outlook on IBD

They buried the "Box" in the paper. I am sure some market genius thought, if we bury the 'box' in the paper people will have to buy the paper to see it.

Backtesting - What is the minimum return per share

Thanks bespoke, For both methods it is a hold between 1-1/2 and 5 hours. No overnight holding. The average share price is $35. The data I used was Worden's Blocks software. They currently offer about 5 years of intraday data. For the last 6 months, I have manually logged the stocks and...

Backtesting - What is the minimum return per share

Sorry I wasn't clear. On average, 68 trades, netting $.11 per share traded. If buying blocks of 1000 shares, it would be $110 minus trade, slippage, etc. No enough profit in my opinion. I have another backtest that averages 9 trades a month, with each trade earning $.30 per share, minus the...

Backtesting - What is the minimum return per share

With slipage, fills and cost per share (I use IB so it is low) what do you shoot for as an acceptable return. Currently for 5 years of backtesting I am average 68 stocks with a result of 7.57 points per month. Still too tight for my preference. So my question, for an average of 68 stocks...

    Anyone using BLOCKS for backtesting

I have been using Blocks for a little over a month and am getting very frustrated with it. Setting up scans are easy, Worden is great for helping create the scans you want, but the physically running the scans is horrible. I do not mind that the scans are slow, but when you run a 18 hour scan...

Is trading really this easy ?

This one worked great for you. The problem comes in when you place your stop loss. If you are doing a 3/1 risk reward, the stop is 3 to 10 cents below entry. Alot of times the stock will bounce a little and hit your stop before climbing upwards.

IB - How do you get around 100 stocks max

I am using IB with QuoteTracker. Maybe I am missing something, but everytime I try to add more than 100 stocks I get an error. The only way it seems to get around this is to create another portfolio within QuoteTracker. This wouldn't be all bad, but it takes so long for chart data to load.

IB new security features- makes me mad!

It clips to your key ring. It is a little bit of a pain in the a$$, but I would rather be safe, and know my money is secure. If some hacker takes your money, then you would be complaining that there should have been some kind of security device.

Where do you get your news?

Where does everyone get their news from? This morning I saw BIDU climbing in the pre-market, I looked around, and couldn't find any news. It wasn't till later in the day I saw JP Morgan started coverage. I know there are paid news services out there, but they have been bashed here ET, but then...
