of course not.. what would be the difference going into the FED with long stock or short stock? I wouldn't do neither of that myself, but there is really no difference, other than if you're long you could lose a maximum of 45 dollar per share..

I think it could work out as a good trade if you know your downside and are ready to anticipate on that.. maybe buy some cheap far out of the money calls to limit downside. I really don't see the gambling part in this one.. guess if you're long stock stock and short puts that's also...

Other possibility is that those Chinese guys are really clever.. they want to sell copper, make everyone believe they are short so prices run up, which enables them to sell their stock at a good price :D

mmm this is starting to get dodgy.. p/e CME=40, for 2006 approx. 30.. CBOT shares outstanding, 52 mln vs. a profit of 37 mln.. so say close to $1 / share. Opening indication 75-80 gives a p/e of 80, close to a 100... seems very high to me compared to CME!! edit: 85-90 opening indication...

How about getting up every day at 11 am, trading from 3pm till 10pm :D , afterwards going for a beer (or more), you can make it anytime you want because the market starts again in the afternoon the day after :p
