Thinking about it, because I am not able to give any trading ideas in time when it comes to short term trading, let's use this thread for general discussions. Maybe a Zoom group (of course for free and trading real money) would do a better job for short term trading.

It is simply important to me to demonstrate that losing trades do not only result very often from bad management (hesitation, getting in too late, missing concentration, and so on). All this does usually not take place when you back-testing a strategy. But it will happen!

Short on CL after breaking the overnight low. Looking back, this trade was NOT correct regarding my trading plan. So, it was simply a trading error! The correct short would have been earlier (red arrow). -$870

Gold took out the 1806.1 level this morning and a bit later the overnight highs. Nice move of about $2,000. Unfortunately, I wasn't on my screens that time. :banghead: (I like this Emoji). Shame on me!

Agree. Unfortunately, it is not that easy to see what day (range-day, break-away-day) upfront. See 9. - 13. June. Therefore very important in my opinion: define the max. loss per day! This will save your ass during bad periods!

Back to trading: today is an incredible difficult day in the indexes (at least for me). In my opinion, the best a trader can do is not to trade under these conditions. Unfortunately, we don't know the conditions right from the start but right now I would not want to trade anymore until markets...

And I disagree with your comment on the entry point. There are much more important aspects in trading.

Entry/Exit points are shown on the chart. Yes, the little green/red triangles. If you don't like the thread - don't follow it! BTW this is true for all the frustrated wannabe traders here. It looks like some people just get up in the morning, jump on a forum and trying to unload there...

There was another short trade around 12045 in the ENQ. Wasn't sure because of the 12000 level but would have been a valid trade with target around the over-night low and then lower. Dammed! :banghead:

ENQ looked like the weaker one today. Short ENQ +$1620 (followed my plan 100% now with targets and trialing stops) ;-)

I'd give it a try but with a very close stop and a first target around the May high. And a tight time stop. Yes, you are right. The spread is already trading high but following nicely its seasonal pattern.

I am afraid, this is not the right place to do real time calls. I try to publish trading ideas in the spread thread because these trades have not be taken in a hurry. But with short term trades I think this is an real issue. I could give trades on a Telegram group but then I could not do my own...
