thanks for posting this -- it should be an interesting thread. Many of his daily PnLs seem fanciful. He puts out a nice persona but most times that's a front.
I've been looking at moving to PR as well because of Act 60. You will be taking a quality of life hit if you live in PR; also, you must be on the island for at least half the year.
There is talk of increasing the capital gains tax incentive from 0% to 12%. The increase hasn't happened yet. So...
All these increases are probably DOA in the Senate. The Senate just voted down a minimum wage increase. Manchin and other have already said they don't want tax increases during the pandemic. The question will be whether they'll try to get a few tax increases through if they think they'll lose...
With his six digit winning days, I question whether Ross/Warrior trading is legit. Ross certainly seems to be making big bucks with his courses. Maybe Coffeezilla will take a look at him.
It's just the end of the road for Scottrade, TDA and E Trade being independent. The consolidation is now pretty much over: IB will likely remain independent.
TDA will be completely merged into Schwab, but TOS should remain, which is all I need. Schwab would never be so dumb as to get rid of...
+1 This is very unusual. I've been with TOS almost from the beginning. It's a well built platform. It could be as you said or with no more commissions, they are short staffed.
Exactly. And it's not just flipping houses where people are getting burned nowadays. Many investors have been buying turn key rental properties in second tier cities. They either get scammed or are taking on major risks investing halfway across the country. Anytime some industry gets hot, too...
In the past, Razer laptops had reliability and customer support issues. I don't know much about MSI. If you want reliability, you should look at Thinkpads or HP Probooks/Elitebooks.
Schwab is doing this merger at the right time, with Trump still in office. In a year or two, if Trump loses, this merger would be much harder to do. Someone should quickly snatch up E-Trade.
Agreed. I was also with thinkorswim before TDA took them over. Tos survived, and it should continue to survive. Schwab's active trader is ok, but not at the level of tos. Tos is loved by so many; it just seems irrational to retire it.
