    which indicator does your trend sysems use, i m using trend following too, and after many years testing multiple combinations, i use the most simple one: long break channel 19,exit break channel 9 and initiating the position only on discretionary basis a lot of times.

    If that s really his strategy, going long shares and selling vol, it s good in bull market but very risky, Victor Niederhoffer did blow up his second Hedge Fund with this strategy !! and for a blow up, it was down more than 75 %, good luck ! You should BUY VOL for downside protection...

    hi there, just maybe some advice, if u wanna trade easier, find easy trades ! i mean , if u trade only s&p futures or so, these are fully crowded ultra competitives trades to do. Find some decent and low volatile stocks to trade first (CAT, DE, RL,YUM....) when u will be better...
