    CTA or not to CTA

    Your clearing firm should be able to assist you with getting this set up. There are plenty of IBs out there that run their brokerage business side by side with their CTA. Obviously, this needs to be put in the DDoc. If you have any other questions send me a PM.

    They say you only pay once, but you can not have access to real time data simultaneously. So you can be on your wirless but not on your PC at the same time to receive live quotes.

    It's not the vendors who control the fees it's the exchanges. 2nd biggest source of revenue for them. And the exchanges don't care if you have bloomberg, cqg, dtn, ect. You pay for their data on each system.

    Charting --- who uses what?

    Globex is the electronic engine the CME uses for electronic trading. Depth of market for open outcry products like the big S&P is not available. The data feeds can only carry the depth of market for electronics.

    I used Securities Training Corporation. They give you a book and practice tests for about $90. There also is a software program by someone else called PassTrak that is decent.

    I believe there is a Denver trading club that might be able to point you in the right direction. I believe GH has an office out there too.
