Predicting Short Term Vs Long Term Moves

I know this may open up a can of worms but it all seems relative to me. Yes it's fractal. But relative in what do you call a Big timeframe. What do you call a small timeframe? Everyone has a different way of looking at the world. Everyone's account is different, everyone's experience is...

Predicting Short Term Vs Long Term Moves

It's all fractal in nature, If we look at the derivative of the fractal over a multiple time frame analysis, you we see the derivatives (patterns) playing out over and over again. I think that it is something that the brain can see in some dimension and why trading sucks people into it...

Why can't I pull the trigger?

I believe in the 80/20 rule. When paper trading it's 80% strat. and technicals and 20 emotional. When live trading it flips just like that and we are not ready for it. Stay strong! Maybe look at trading forex where your risk can only be a few cents. But then build up in size as your increase...

I'm 21 years old, couldn't enter University, planning to trade full-time.

Learning how to trade takes a lot of work and study so be prepared to put yourself through "trading college" and spend at least 10,000 hours+ if you want to teach yourself truly what the bars mean and how to trade. I would recommend a price action mentor or good PA system.

The TREND is your friend.. The biggest lie ever!

As being mentored by NoDoji several years ago, I agree with the small stop loss helps with comfort to define risk. Emotional side of things really matters a lot more hitting targets is so important. As far as defining risk goes, the market is so fractal that it's not even funny. Therefore...

Buying at Support or Buying at Resistance

@lloyd Coutee Well, I would recommend buying at support(demand) and selling at resistance(supply) like what TKOSta74 said. Trend is key in this. Because Trend will Flip-flop these areas. You can take a look at a site that describes how to do it well and has a lot of good free education stuff...

Can you trade by price action alone?

How are all those lagging indicators trading pure price action??? I had all those on my charts when I first started trading and I lost a couple grand. I really didn't understand price action then. Now a naked chart is one of my best friends and it a really good way to trade.

Can you trade by price action alone?

I do believe that identifying support and resistance is important. Another aspect to take into account is Context. Just knowing support and resistance doesn't mean that you can always get on the right side of a move. It's something that I like to call as Context, where u are in a trend. If...

    Small Stop Loss Automated System

Right now I'm just gathering sim data. And have backed tested it a lot. I know personally when I trade I do get slipped a lot for usually 1 tick maybe 2. But I figured thats because of where I'm entering. I was just wondering if anyone else had a strat. that used really small stops and any...

    Small Stop Loss Automated System

Hi all, I'm creating a system that has a 2-4 tick stop loss on any market. I'm wondering if anyone else has a system that uses small stops. Have you had any issues have stops this small? I've heard roomers that having stops this small could be in the Ask/Bid spread and if price goes against...

    APA Zones

Here's what my charts look like on a day-to-day trading basis. I'm looking for the confluence of these zones. Then, once 3 out of 5 of the charts line up with zones in the same area, I use the secret chart (fuzzy one) to get into the market.

    Ninjatrader and internet

well, I think it leaves us in a very good position. first off lets cover the TT side of things, TT and CQG have redundant servers all over the global that's why they are what they are. This makes it hard to follow a path of direct connect over time from a hackers point of view. This being...

    Ninjatrader and internet

I've been programming in the ninjatrader environment and from what I can see on how the program and the .NET environment. The datafeed enters your computer through one socket which doesn't seem to encrypted or anything and goes straight to a database. Processing then on the charts or behind...

    APA Zones

I use this system on 6 different timeframes. By doing this I get a very accurate idea of what's the story behind the charts. I am also able to run around with very tight stops on any market. I personally really like the crude oil market which moves extremely fast. This methodology is...

    APA Zones

Hey Everyone well after 6 months of development I have finally created an automated dynamic price zone indicator. It basically identifies Support/Resistance Zones. Most people that trade this system call them supply and demand zones. I'm going to start into automation cycle soon but I...

    Trading is boring!

Question to all you traders out there. How many of you find trading boring after a few years of doing it? The reason why I'm asking this question is after you have down your markets that you watch, your system(plan & strat.), and the disciple to do it trade after trade, day after day. It...
