    Half Cent Execution on NASDAQ

As a newb who is just starting to look at S&T / DOM, I'm a bit confused as to why I'm seeing these $27.8899 bid/offers going through? I know it's not effecting me w/ my swing-style, but I'd like to know the reason behind why & how it's being done. I was under the assumption all...

how to meet monthly expense while growing trading capital?

    1) Monthly profits / 20%_ set aside for taxes. 2) Monthly profits / 60%_ set aside for monthly expenses 3) Left over_leave in account I think the key, like stated above, is to make sure your taxes are taken out first, then divide it however you need.

    Testing 1,2,3.

Just a question here... But if they're asking you to use your strategies in thier simulator for an entire month, wouldn't they be able to derive your strategies from the data in the simulator and use them for themselves, while then kick'n you to the curb and claiming it as thier own...

    If you are rich ....

We are nothing but the sum of our experience. "You" made it where you are today from the socialization and conditioning derived from your interactions with the people and environment around you. They have shaped you, and if you can't find it in yourself to help life-long friends and family...

Is there a book that explains it all?

Open accounts at TD Ameritrade & OptionsXpress, go through all thier 'learning center' info. I'm pretty sure there's a 'Books' tab uptop here. I've found the 'Search' function on this site to be incredable. Lots to read: 9pm-midnight for the next year, easy.

    Day Trading is a pipedream.

I was under the impression 'most professional daytraders will trade only from'... a combination of: 1) Market Profile: DOM & Tape Reading (Sales & Time) 2) Patterns: S&R, Trends, Candle's/Bar (price).. or the 'Set-Up'. 3) Price Action: Confirmation & Entry/Exit Ofcourse Risk & Trade...

    Leverage & Margin

I've never used Margin or Leverage Trading. I don't really like to trade outside my means and don't like the idea of blowing up my account. Having said that, I"m currently a retail swing trader making a move into proprietary trading and trying to wrap my head around how these companies work...

People asking what you earn, how do you handle?

I have this problem all the time... They continually ask me what I do 'for a living' and I tell them I manage my Real Estate; so they ask me what I do and I tell them I'm a landlord and generate passive income; so they ask me what I do and I tell them I swing trade the markets; so they ask me...

    Prop Shop Q's

First, I'm a noob. Lets just get that out of the way right now. /activate_flamesuit. Second, I'm looking for the major differences in kinds of Prop Shops that a Trader can work in/at and how difficult it would be to 'get in' given my lack of "Trading Experience"? 1) Shops that just...

Newbie ~ Looking for a home

The HedgeFund Employment was great. Gave me some bearings to work off from. I didn't really understand how they were structured in terms of what departments there were and where I would fit in. So basically when applying, i'm looking for entry/starting positions in smaller firms w/ a...
