    Best options-centric prime broker

Anyone care to share their thoughts on which of the prime brokers are the best matches for an options-centric smallish ($10-20 mil) hedge fund or investment management firm? Thanks in advance.

    Relative Volatility Index (RVI)?

A belated reply as I have not been here much lately, but I agree on both counts. Not only does RVI have a lot of potential, but it is flying under the radar of most traders.

VIX-Trading. What is the best way to make money?

I generally don't post about specific trades and 99% of my trades do not involve VIX options, but I did try a little of the second and third options strategies that I posted about at http://vixandmore.blogspot.com/2007/02/four-ways-to-play-vix-options-following.html FWIW, I only started...

VIX-Trading. What is the best way to make money?

The two options that make the most sent to me -- depending on the magnitude and duration of a volatility spike you expect -- are: 1) bear call spreads (until the markets have made a more obvious top and some panic is on the immediate horizon) 2) call back spreads (if you think the...

    any book about fraud detection?

I'm about halfway through Howard Schilit's "Financial Shenanigans" and can recommend it. Good ideas; good case studies. Read more at http://www.amazon.com/Financial-Shenanigans-Accounting-Gimmicks-Reports/dp/0071386262/sr=8-1/qid=1164041615/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-3402117-1501502?ie=UTF8&s=books

The Dark Side of the Looking Glass

What do people here think of "The Dark Side of the Looking Glass" -- the presentation about naked short selling by Patrick Byrne, CEO of Overstock.com? FYI, the presentation can be found at http://www.businessjive.com/podcasts/market-liberation/

    CSCO Earnings

While I understand your general point, you should listen to the CC. They had a much better quarter than you probably think they did and their business seems to be very healthy.. CSCO could pop 10% tomorrow; if it does, it might signal a turning point too...
