    How much risk capital should one use in a single trade?

    First post here. I guess it would depend on what portion of your account you've designated as "risk capital". All of my instructors seem to agree on risking no more than 5-10% of your account on any one trade. Risk 50% of your account and lose and you'll then have to double your money on...
