    bid ask is better on the screen in basically all ags. Maybe some of the meat contracts have better pit volume, but why do you care about the pit. ITS DEAD. Thats how i lost my job.

    Yes but buying corn and selling wheat right now is like standing in front of a train. Until the recent rally in Chi wheat reverses (which it may have after Friday, but i doubt it) you dont want be short.     100% of locals use spreads, thats not to say 100% of their trades are spreads. That will vary from trader to trader, but anyone making markets for size will carry the majority of their position on a spread basis, probably 85-90%.
