Another reason why volumes are down a lot is the MF Global case. For sure a lot of clients just stopped or had to stop trading because their clients withdrew money under management.

nobody had a eurex position with MF GLobal ?

Does anybody know how Eurex liquidated the Mf Global positions ? does everyone get the same price for being long or short the e.g. Dax future ? You hear about that Eurex closed out all positions but we can't find out at what prices.

This is just pure nonsense !!! We are long term clients and pay 10 euro cents per contract - you tell me any clearer that is cheaper on high volume. Service is good and we never had any issues. Now as they evolve to a proprietary trading company i am not sure wether i want to keep my assets...

The problem with that strategy is when markets are directionless. Then you get chopped. The slippage is also a factor because sometimes you have to trade a lot. Plus your trading fees must be very low. Trade station can do it , multi charts, and many many others. I think excel is sufficient also.

Just heard that some brokers wont allow naked short trades anymore in spanish, italian, french futures. This might also affect Eurostoxx Futures.
