    It depends on your style of trading. If you're scalping without charts, using 3 level 2 montages and a ticker, a 15" LCD will work for some. I swing trade so I use 2 19" LCD monitors with a dual video card. One has the market and sector information and the other has 3 charts (for stocks)...
