With hardly any vol how are the system traders supposed to make money? These days you get ridiculously trapped ranges with false breaks both sides, very occaisonal big days and this year not enough trend days to count on one hand.

It is obviously only a coincidence that when there are a large number of stops in the book that the market manages to find them! There are plenty of rumours of leaks to very very large traders when there are big stops in play.

Not sure what your issue is here? You automate with Gain & Tradebolt. You short 1 mln eurousd @ 12650 then you have an order to buy 500k eurousd, your net position will be short 500k. Why would you want to show the positions as short 1 mln and long 500k? I spoke with Tradebolt last week...
