Why trade FX versus futures exchange?

That's wrong. Due to the fact that in spot market, funds have to be delivered during two business days, you must permanently roll over your open position. Every night! Fortunately your forex broker does it for you automatically... :) Quote from RefcoFX: In the spot forex market, trades...

    Volatility and Relationships

Hi, yes that's true. I use these analysis techniques for all markets, not only for fxrates. In this special case volume is replaced by "number of ticks per interval". That is no exact method but nevertheless a good approximation as you can see in the first chart above.

    Volatility and Relationships

Hi, most time I don't use technical indicators like SMA, EMA or Momentum... I prefer trendlines, supports, resistances, chart pattern and so on. Sometimes I use an indicator called "volume weighted average" VWA what is an interesting market-depth indicator. You can compare it with the...

    Volatility and Relationships

That doesn't matter in trading currencies because you trade in fixed units of the underlying crossrate (e.g. 1,000,000 in GBP/CHF). But you must consider that some currencies have a higher leverage than others, e.g. 100 pips in EUR/GBP is worth £ 0.01 or nearly $ 0.0183 (much more than 100 pips...

    CME vs Forex

I compared CMS' bid prices with interbank EBS bid prices and found no remarkable difference. Of course nearly all brokers use the interbank market to hedge their customer's positions.

    CME vs Forex

A pip is the smallest possible move in any fxrate. For example EUR/USD: 1 pip = 0.0001; USD/JPY 1 pip = 0.01. Its value depends on the specific crossrate. By the way: CME-Futures advantage depends on its liquidity. I agree with "EUROFX-Future is better than FX EUR/USD", but I prefer FX...

    GBP vs. USD

The uptrend in GBP/USD is stable for a long time as well! A half year ago, analyst were talking about increasing fed fund rates for the fourth quarter! In my opinion these expectations have been disappointed in the last few months. On the other hand we saw rising interest rates in UK in November.
